HR Head of Operations & Talent for a high-profile Arts Institution

This is a wonderful role for an HR Head of Operations & Talent in the Arts & Culture sector. We are partnering with a high-profile Arts institution to recruit an exemplary and inspiring HR Operations Manager (CIPD qualified to level 7) to support the Director of People and the People Leadership Team; assisting them in the delivery of their People Strategy; carrying out key strategic initiatives related to talent attraction; talent development; data informed decision making and HR operational excellence. This will include leading all operational teams to ensure the running of monthly payroll, pensions administration and all recruitment for the Institution. You will also oversee the Talent Development function who support all institution learning & development and their HR Systems & Data team.

You will be confident in stakeholder management, delivering at a strategic level as well as solution focused and getting involved in continuous improvement. You will also have experience of managing HR Operations in a complex and busy environment, alongside experience in Learning & Development.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you possess the following attributes or experience:

CIPD qualified, level 7 preferred, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skills gained through experience.
Well-developed and broad ranging HR operational experience in an organisation of comparable scale and complexity with experience of operating at both a strategic and operational level.
Experience and understanding of Learning and Development and Organisational Development function and able to demonstrate an up-to-date working knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice.
Demonstrable experience of working at a managerial level with specific experience in delivering payroll and pension services, preferably MyCSP.
Experienced recruiter, committed to principles of inclusive recruitment and helping them move towards a more diverse workforce that reflects the UK’s population.
Numerate, with proven ability to manage a budget including, planning, forecasting, and monitoring spend.
Commercially minded, experience of tendering work and leading successful negotiations to ensure value for money and demonstrable returns on investment.
Understand the principles of diversity and inclusion and the ability to apply and promote these in practice at work. 
Evidence led, proven experience of maximising people data to identify trends and support good decision making.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely, and in a way that is accessible to a diverse range of people.
Excellent organisational skills with a high degree of computer literacy – experience of at least one HRIS, strong Excel skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and treat all colleagues with dignity and respect, developing effective working relationships with a wide range of people and mutually supportive and collaborative leadership style.
