We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a not-for-profit organasition with a great environment, and positive and strong company culture. As Senior Finance Manager you will be responsible for all financial tasks to support the running of the organisation.

Key duties:-
• Providing strategic financial advice to the Chief Executive and Chairman
• All data entry on SAGE accounting system. Approximately 7,400 transactions added to Sage each year
• Liaison with auditors
• Secretary to Finance Committee, the division of the governing body of the organisation which directs financial arrangements
• Payroll (currently 20 employees) and maintenance of confidential personnel records
• Sales ledger and credit control
• Issue of all sales (1,400 sales invoices issued) and subscription invoices (currently 350 members)
• Sub-tenant rental invoicing
• Purchase ledger
• Issue of supplier and staff expense payments.
• Banking and bank reconciliation
• Tracking of investments and transfers
• Creation of budgets
• Forecast and monitoring
• Monthly monitoring
• Cash flow forecasting
• Calculation of subscriptions
• VAT return
• Petty cash
• Year-end management accounts

Experience required: -
• Previous experience of working in a similar role with broad financial management.
• Ideally AAT or other accounting qualifications / or steady career in finance roles.
• Confident and able to work cross organisationally.
• Experience of working with senior management to develop, manage and monitor budgets and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High levels of attention to detail.
• Team player and able to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
