Employment Law Solicitor

A small, close knit and charming firm of Employment Lawyers with offices in Ilford are seeking a new Employment Law Solicitor to join their friendly team.

You will be given a range of exciting cases, supporting both employees and employers and will have full autonomy and responsibility to lead your allocated cases, ensuring successful results for your client.

The role is ideally full-time but we are flexible and open to applications from candidates seeking reduced hours or days (to a minimum of 3 days per week), there is also the flexibility to work from home regularly, though much of your time will be spent in the Ilford office, where you can immerse yourself in the knowledge and cultural hub of your colleagues, especially during your onboarding.

To fulfil the required standards you must possess the legal skills listed below:

Employment tribunal case preparation, representation and advocacy for both claimants and respondent for all types of claims including unfair/constructive/wrongful dismissal, sex/race/disability/sexual orientation/gender reassignment/age discrimination, TUPE, working time regulation claims and other breach of contract claims.
Negotiations in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Innovative strategies to meet claimant and respondent objectives, including cost minimisation for cases.
Dismissals of senior employees and directors.
Drafting contracts of employment/employee handbooks, consultancy agreements, employment law policies, settlement agreements and other terms of settlement.
Restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements.
Marketing - networking, seminars and legal articles.
