Data Entry Administrator

Are you an administrator looking for a short-term contract in a charitable organisation? Do you want to work in an exciting environment and work towards making positive changes in the community? If so, this role may be for you. We are looking for an administrator for a short-term contract with a dedicated charity to provide the following:

• Assist with the daily post opening duties
• Batch, bank and thank donations
• Ensure that all supporter records in Raiser’s Edge are up to date and correct
• Carry out the acknowledgement of and processing of donations in a timely manner
• Advise Departmental colleagues of donations’ provenance
• Inputting and updating records on the database, Raiser’s Edge (RE)
• Carry out additional tasks as requested by Database Administrator, such as filing, taking reports from RE etc.
• Ensure that all information is kept secure
• Provide general administrative support
• Undertake other duties as required

Administrator Knowledge and Skills:

• A working knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge database
• Excellent administrative skills
• Computer and web literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.)

Administrator Personal Qualities:

• Empathy with the work and purpose of The Mission to Seafarers
• Good time management skills
• Excellent telephone manner
• High level of patience and understanding
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex enquiries and communicate the outcomes with tact and diplomacy
• Experience of working with databases, updating and managing individual customer records with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to carry out general office procedures with a methodical and organised approach
• Ability to manage own work load
