The role of Senior Finance Business Partner is critical to this international development charity. Your role will be to work across different departments and with external partners to ensure that all new products and services add value. The role will include developing new financial models to promote the growth of income and carrying out key operational activities such as forecasting and monitoring income. The role will also include budgeting and pricing for our fundraising and programmatic bids.

Key duties and responsibilities: -
• Work with departments to build relationship with existing and potential partners and donors and to support the increase in income.
• Manage pricing for the organisation, including: sourcing fees, programme budgets for commercial partners - continuously review and evolve pricing models to ensure it is fit for purpose
• Development of programme budgets and consultancy offerings.
• Review income forecasts with to determine impact in ability to service annual plan/budget.
• Develop insightful analysis and provide a commercially focused narrative alongside all financials presented to stakeholders
• Influence decision-making and increase revenue.
• Prepare the annual financial data collection template to enable benchmarking
• Sign off the reconciliation of sales
• Lead the annual audit on all income related processes
• Provide direct line-management of the Finance Business Partner, including regular supervision, coaching and support

Skills and experience required:-
• Relevant accountancy qualification (for example, CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
• Experience of building, managing and evolving business partnering relationships at senior management level
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting experience including pricing models
• Experience of preparing financial reports (internal and external) and reconciliations
• Highly motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Proven ability to provide high levels of internal and external customer service
• Confident and assertive communicator with proven influencing skills
• Ability to clearly present and explain complex financial information, turns data into insight,
• Ability to influence a range of stakeholders at all levels, to deliver strategic initiatives and build new opportunities
• Ability to contribute to the negotiation of new business offers
• Excellent IT skills with high demonstrable level of competence in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent numeracy skills with an excellent eye for detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Awareness of potential commercial accounting models with the ability to translate these into workable solutions to suit organisational needs
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while remaining calm and focused under pressure
