Finance Manager/Bookkeeper - Boutique Venue Hire Agency - Central London

My client, a boutique venue hire agency, are looking for a Finance Manager/Certified Bookkeeper to join their vibrant and growing team in cool offices located in Central London. As a top Finance Manager/Certified Bookkeeper, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a small and dynamic company in this integral, operational and team playing role. Reporting to the Directors you will be responsible for all the finance/bookkeeping duties as well as assisting with the management of the day to day operations of the office. With commercial acumen, you will be willing to roll your sleeves up and undertake the operational element of the role including processing all administration and providing day to day management of the office space. To be successful in this role, you will have strong, demonstrable experience using SAGE and be fully AAT certified.

Core Duties:

Recording and tracking income, expenditure and financial transactions
Preparing reports and financial statements for Directors and undertaking financial administration
Preparing Director’s statements and quarterly accounts
Processing purchase and sales invoices
Utilising a Purchase Order system and ensuring cost control throughout the company
Chasing outstanding payments and analysis of aged debtors
Staff payroll and company expenses
Liaise with clients/hirers, book-keeping and arranging payments for invoices
Providing day-to-day management of the office space, including management of new desk space to be hired by other organisations
Maintaining and improving existing financial systems, company policies, office protocols and administrative systems
Organising, managing and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best working rates for the client and the business
Management of the office filing system making sure that all filing is kept up to date on behalf of the rest of the team
Accurate and timely completion of administrative documents
Collating commission information

As a top Finance Manager/Book-keeper, you will have a strong working knowledge of SAGE, excellent knowledge of VAT and tax returns and be keen to work in a small and fast paced creative environment.

The role is paying up to £32,000 depending on experience level.
