Interim Media Officer
Temporary role – likely to be till April 2026
£22.17 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Hybrid, 1 – 2 days office based in Aldgate / Aldgate East, London

Are you a confident communicator with a passion for storytelling that drives change? We’re looking for a dynamic Media Officer to join a mission-driven organisation working at the intersection of business, policy, and social impact.
In this role, you’ll:
• Be the first point of contact for journalists and manage a busy press office.
• Build strong relationships with national media, bloggers, and influencers to secure impactful coverage.
• Craft compelling press releases, social media copy, and responses to the news agenda.
• Deliver high-profile media campaigns, events, and launches — including major moments in the calendar like flagship public campaigns and global policy events.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on media coverage to ensure we’re achieving real influence.
What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience in a fast-paced press office and confidence liaising directly with journalists.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to spot a good story.
• Experience working with digital and social media to amplify coverage.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
• A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
