Graduate Compliance Officer

Graduate Compliance Officer – up to 28k + excellent benefits

We have an urgent requirement for a Graduate Compliance Officer within the Shipping sector to work for one of the most respected and successful shipping brokerages in the World.

No two days will be the same and the primary purpose of this role is to make sure you oversee Compliance communications and be the first point of contact for KYC requests, Vendor submissions and queries; undertake routine compliance screening and KYC research; legal research and prepare briefs on international trade topics including sanctions; serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate communication together with other administrative duties, as required, hence why our client is looking for a pro-active, ambitious, assertive and practical team player who is used to working in a fast paced environment and just ‘gets things done’.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and demonstrate the ability to work independently and, as part of a team. Good work ethics are very important to my client, along with commitment and integrity. In return, you will be working in a supportive environment and will be fully rewarded for going the extra mile!

We are only considering candidates with the following experience:

Bachelor’s degree in law (comparative or maritime law modules being highly beneficial)
Shipping experience
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite
Confident, team player who uses their initiative
Professional with excellent communication skills and major attention to detail
Calm, unflappable and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
