Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

As some of you may know, we have partnered with children’s cancer charity, Clic Sargent this year to help them raise as much as possible. (You may have seen us raising money in our crazy wigs!) Every month, thousands of children get diagnosed with cancer, and by fundraising, we are helping families to stay together, play together and be families together. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, so we’re doing as much as we can!
 
Clic Sargent have set us the £170 challenge. Why £170? Because that’s the grant CLIC Sargent gives to families after a child is diagnosed with cancer, to stop unexpected costs like parking and petrol becoming a problem. So we are fully committed to raising this and more!
 
On Friday 11th September, we held a Bake Sale in our offices. The Maine Group team put their aprons on and baked a variety of home made goods to sell to all our visitors, candidates and surrounding businesses. We made a fantastic £140!
 
We have lots more planned, including a Go Retro day on Friday 25th September, which will see us dressing up from the era we were born! We will also be doing quizzes and games throughout the day – watch out for the pictures from that one! Do pop in if you’re around!
 
We’re also doing a Rugby World Cup sweepstake, and plan to donate most of the funds from this to Clic Sargent.
