Here at The Maine Group, our role with our clients during this time has primarily been one of guidance and advisory on this basis that we are in an advantageous position of speaking with many organisations on a daily basis. In both the commercial and not for profit sectors, we can see patterns emerging.

Over the last 8 weeks it's been truly inspiring to see the different approaches organisations have taken to keep working, and adapting to the new normal. As hard as it's been, each and every organisation wants to look after its people and we have seen the demand for roles in HR and Payroll continue to take the top spot. Project work and generalist HR roles seem to be the skills in the highest demand, it's broad experience that's winning the day. This is not surprising when you think about the new furlough laws and now the back to work dilemmas that are at the top of the priority list. It's that tricky balance between getting your business back up and running whilst keeping your people safe.
