Our client, a well-known humanitarian charity is seeking a Mass Participation and Challenge Events Manager to deliver growth over their entire event portfolio including their flagship event. This is a maternity cover contract for a minimum duration of 9 months.

Main responsibilities will include;
• Developing and implementing an ambitious Mass Participation and Challenge Events strategy, which drives income growth and integrates and builds supporter engagement.
• Leading the delivery of the annual flagship event to ensure it continues to grow and exceed targets year on year.
• Managing both internal and external stakeholders, including relationships with partner agencies.
• Developing, implementing and evaluating marketing strategies and communications plans to ensure constant improvement.
• Leading the team to manage the mass participation events portfolio to drive engagement and hit participant targets
• Being the ‘go-to’ expert for the wider team, and organisation, for this income stream; giving advice and guidance to ensure success.
• Delivering inclusive and accessible event experiences that demonstrate supporter centric thinking.
• Managing a team of 4, ensure all team members understand their responsibilities and objectives

To apply for this role you should have/be:
• Extensive fundraising experience, with a track record of innovating within a Mass Participation and Events remit
• Skills and knowledge of mass participation, community and challenge events, with a track record of growing income and transforming or introducing a new product, partnership or way of working which has delivered measurable success
• Able to critically appraise fundraising materials and activity across a variety of channels.
• A strong leader with the ability to inspire others and develop effective working relationships with direct reports, external suppliers volunteers and staff at all levels across the organisation.
• Digital marketing experience, including from an agency management and delivery perspective
