Our client, a global Charity is looking for a Digital/Social Media Assistant to support during a busy period. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-known brand.

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the organisations social channels and relevant campaign hashtags, ‘liking’, sharing, or otherwise engaging in supporter posts.
• Responding to messages and queries on social media, redirecting queries to relevant teams, alerting colleagues to any potential issues or concerns.
• Checking and proof-reading content for the website
• Updating and editing the website using WordPress on a daily basis, keeping latest event information up to date
• Ad hoc social media or website editing tasks to support the Digital Team and wider campaign group as required.

Skills/experience required:

• Experience in social media management of a public facing organisation
• Experience of updating a public facing website using WordPress
• Experience of writing social media and website content for a public facing organisation
• Experience working to tight deadlines with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate complex information into accessible, jargon free copy.
• Excellent attention to detail
