Are you a confident direct marketer with strong experience of managing high volume F2F or telephone fundraising activity either charity or agency side? Do you have budget and line management experience?

As the Head of Supporter Recruitment, you will lead the Supporter Recruitment team, overseeing all individual supporter recruitment campaigns to deliver new supporters within budgeted income and expenditure levels, in line with internal and regulatory standards and codes, to maximise the long-term net income needed to fund the organisation’s charitable programme. Manage multiple relationships with external agencies and suppliers and ensure best value from each agency. In addition to this develop and manage the in-house supporter recruitment team of up to 30 staff (internal and agency). Carry out distinct data analysis work on all supporter recruitment campaigns, identifying critical business questions and provide monthly reports on any income and expenditure budget variances and devise and lead the implementation of action plans to mitigate risk and address shortfalls.

About you:
• Proven track record in managing Direct Marketing programmes to recruit individual supporters or customers
• Experience of producing, managing and monitoring large income and expenditure budgets accurately, and actively addressing variations. A high degree of numeracy, advanced Excel skills, and experience in interpreting statistical data and effectively communicating findings and trends to a non-specialist audience.
• Experience in fostering and developing productive relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels, including Senior Managers and Directors, through effective negotiation
• Well-developed leadership and people management skills, including the ability to give clear direction and provide appropriate levels of autonomy based on individual situations.
• Experience of adding significant value to marketing programmes through the effective use of databases, data segmentation processes and segment analysis.
