We are recruiting a highly driven Business Development Manager to join a dynamic Sales Department within an IT Managed Services Provider based in Sidcup, Kent. You will responsible for building a profitable and sustainable client base for the company, through generating new business, develop accounts and always drive new activity to increase business revenue. The company is open to accepting applications with a range of Business Development experience, although an understanding of IT Services is important, as this firm operates in a range of areas (IT Support, Web Design, Network Cabling, Telephone, IT Consultancy).

Your duties:

• Generating and securing new business
• Achieving personal targets
• Develop effective growth strategies – both for financial and customer success
• Market research - identify buying/selling trends, new markets and customer needs
• Develop and strengthen relationships with industry professionals, existing referral partners, competitors, vendors, etc.
• Produce reports on new prospects
• Write proposals in conjunction with pre-sales
• Attend events, special interest groups, conferences and seminars to seek new opportunities
• Negotiate terms with clients, ensuring each contract adheres to current regulations
• Maintain the integrity of confidential information in accordance with GDPR
• Contribute to company reputation through entering and achieving professional awards
• Full integration into the Sales team – attending weekly meetings, support team members to increase successfully closed deals
• Ensure all work is of the highest standard and reflects company values

You will be a superior Sales professional, with a proven track record of sales success, who possesses the ability to utilise your excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate/persuade with clients and collaborate as a Sales team. Strong business acumen is essential, as well as experience of managing tenders and proposals. You will be familiar with representing an organisation at external events and have strong networking skills. Working on your own initiative and remaining resilient is key, as well as a strong desire for continued improvement and personal development. Previous exposure to the world of IT Services would also be highly preferred
