Are you an experienced Nursery Manager? Do you enjoy being part of the local community?

A new community nursery (Ofsted-registered) based in the heart of Camden Town are seeking an experienced and highly organised Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the nursery.

This small community nursery is unique as it donates 100% of its profit to charity and is fortunate enough to have a beautiful, spacious garden, which children from a combination of both funded and fee-paying families can enjoy. Children from 3 months to 5 years are accepted.

Your role as Nursery Manager will predominantly be holding responsibility for the management, staffing, organisation, admissions and smooth running of the nursery. You will uphold the high standards of care and education of all children, as well as develop the ethos of the nursery that reflects the welcoming and family-friendly environment. Strategic planning, evaluation and development of the nursery is also amongst your duties, always ensuring the EYFS framework is promoted and adhered to. Effective communication must be delivered between the nursery and other stakeholders (e.g. local authority and primary schools), as well implementing nursery policies that cover safeguarding, equal opportunities and data protection. Providing regular feedback to parents and carers about their child?s development and progress is equally important, which will rely upon your accuracy in keeping data records.

About you:

? At least 3 years? post-qualifying experience (at least 2 years managing and supervising staff)
? Level 4 Early Years qualification and NVQ (or equivalent)
? Knowledge of Foundation Stage curriculum and day care for young children
? Knowledge of relevant legislation and ability to develop policies consistent with regulations ? also includes knowledge for the inspection process
? Able to maintain basic systems for childcare and finance records
? Excellent written, spoken and IT communication skills ? able to communicate confidently with a wide range of people
? Impeccable time management skills and able to work independently
? Enthusiastic and compassionate personality, that is committed to partnership with families and maintaining high quality provision and practice
