The postholder will work with the Membership Engagement Manager on campaigns to diversify the membership base while helping the rest of the membership team provide a high level of customer care to all of our members. As Membership Engagement Officer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with members and prospective members. Day-to-day, you’ll speak to our members, contributing to our high retention and renewal rates. More specifically you’ll be responsible for contributing to the development of the engagement strategy including supporting member-facing events, maintaining high levels of member satisfaction, developing the accuracy of our membership database and making use of the data to inform operational decisions.

About you:
• Experience of working in a membership organisation.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build and sustain effective working relationships with a diverse range of colleagues, partners and stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of membership systems and procedures.
• Clear and analytical thinker with the ability to exercise sound initiative, judgement and discretion and think through issues to offer practical solutions.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to explain complex issues clearly and ability to adapt style to different audiences.
• Experience of using CRM database.
• Ability to interpret data to identify key messages and themes.
