Accounts Assistant

Role: Accounts Assistant
Salary: £21 – 26k (depending on experience) + Benefits
Location: City of London

Our client is an innovative, growing investment firm based in the City of London. They specialise in Investments/Fund Developments, and with their rapid growth are seeking an intelligent accounts assistant to join their small, but very busy finance department.

As the accounts assistant, you will be key to all financial administration; with ownership and responsibilities in sales ledgers and credit control documentation. This role would suit someone who has an AAT background, or has considerable experience within accountancy.

Key Duties:

First point of contact for all financial administrative queries
Receiving and responding to all communication from both customers and suppliers
Departmental administrative support
Maintenance of purchase, sales and cash ledgers
Administration for reconciliation, payments and credit control
Ad-hoc supporting the treasury department with banking duties

Person Specification:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in working within an accounts or finance team
Demonstrable experience with working with Sage 200 and Sage 50
Background in working for a company with at least 80+ employees
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to handle a high-volume workload, particularly in a busy team
Proven accuracy; meticulous and excellent attention to detail
Experience in supporting a medium sized team, and proven ability to multitask and prioritise
Advanced IT Skills; strong Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly with Word and Excel
