Summer Fayre Volunteers 2017

St John’s Hospice’s calendar events are now established as some of North West London’s major attractions. 2016 was a record-breaking year for the Hospice with tens of thousands of people attending the fayres and over £150,000 raised throughout the year.

Annually, we host a number of events that attract local residents, raise awareness of the Hospice and raise vital funds to support the delivery of our services. We rely heavily on the support of our fantastic volunteers to ensure the Fayres are a success.

Summer Fayre – St John’s Wood
Date: Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June 2017, 10am – 7pm
Location: St John’s Wood Church Gardens, NW8 7NE

Our annual Summer Fayre takes place over two days and is one of our most successful events of the year, attracting tens of thousands of local residents as well as families across London. After the success at our last fayre, we will have big fun fayre rides inside the park and many other themed activities. The fayre will host an array of stalls, children’s rides and live music. Visitors will also enjoy a BBQ and children’s entertainment. This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to give back to their local community and network with likeminded people, whilst supporting a local charity.

Summer Fayre - Paddington Recreation Ground
Date: Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July 2017, 11am – 6pm
Location: Paddington Recreation Ground, W9 1PD

This will be the third year we are hosting a summer fayre at Paddington Recreation Ground. The park is very popular with the local residents and a great space for a community event. In the first year only, the event attracted over 8,000 people. This year over 60 stalls will line the park along with big fairground rides.

o Leafleting, collecting donations and signing people up to challenge events

Commitment
These are one-off volunteering opportunities and we ask that you do a minimum of 1 full shift* on your preferred day. If you wish to work additional shifts, or more than one day, we are able to accommodate this too.
