A leading International Development Charity is seeking a Head of Philanthropy to take responsibility for ensuring that ambitious income targets are achieved or exceeded through inspiring the team, developing and leading the strategic direction of the Philanthropy Team.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the evolution of the overarching fundraising strategy
• Take a lead on understanding the inter dependencies between philanthropy income and other high value income streams and how that impacts on relationship management
• Support high value supporter engagement across the organisation as well as within fundraising,
• Communicate the brand and key campaign messages to major philanthropists
• Keep up to date with the key fundraising trends and issues, and the regulatory environment around fundraising from high value donors
• Ensure that systems and processes best support fundraising activity, working closely with the team heads across the organisation.
• Work with and manage relationships with key high value supporters and partners including Advisory Board members and Vice Presidents as required to ensure excellent relationships are maintained and value added wherever possible.

You will be a results focused, philanthropy expert with extensive experience of major donor fundraising, including a proven track record of both developing relationships to mutual benefit and securing new donors/donations at the £1m+level.
