P/T HR Advisor

Part time HR Advisor - Guildford - 3 days a week - £37,000 pro-rata with excellent benefits which includes; child care vouchers, discounts in restaurants, life assurance, 24 days hols plus you accrue 1 day after completing a full year; max of 27 days, healthcare and pension.
This is a stand-alone generalist role for the Guildford office with a client group of around 80 people.
Law firm with a group of offices scattered around the South each with a HR Advisor.
You will report to the HRD.

You will work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The £37,000 salary is pro-rata'd for the three days you work.
Superb opportunity to work in a beautiful office which is close to Guildford train station.

Objectives of the Part time HR Advisor role;
To provide an effective human resources advisory service to the firm.
To manage day to day operational and administration tasks.

Main responsibilities of the Part time HR Advisor role;
Dealing with employee relations issues and running disciplinary, grievance, redundancy meetings
Take a proactive approach to assisting managers with performance management of team members.
Running regular HR reports, including the preparation and submission of monthly headcount reports.
Have responsibility for the production of HR letters and documents which include maternity/ paternity, offers of employment, probation reviews and many others.
First point of contact for all internal and external HR enquiries
Preparing new joiner packs and new starter orientation/ induction information
Running regular monthly reports and ad hoc reports as required for management and BD information.
Assisting in the management of the appraisal process
Payroll administration
Assisting the Reward and Benefits Manager with any benefits related queries from staff.
Absence management- picking up on absence issues with managers and individuals.
Update and maintain HR system and data
Assist with pro-actively identifying, developing and implementing improvements to systems and procedures to enhance efficiency
Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as reasonably required.


Will only consider applicants with the required qualifications, skills and experience
Experience of working at HR Advisor / Officer level, in a professional services environment.
Excellent organisation skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy at all times
Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure and have a flexible approach
Experience of communicating effectively at all levels
Professional approach and appearance
Good knowledge and understanding of employment law and best practice
CIPD qualified, or working towards this
Complete confidentiality at all times
Excellent HR systems and IT skills
